Collection
Lightering of oily waste at sea can be combined with bunkering from our own vessels – this saves both time and money. Contact us and we will help you categorize your waste on our waste declaration form. We will then coordinate the whole operation.
Simplicity
Stenas waste treatment plants in Gothenburg and Halmstad are strategically located in the harbour areas. At our treatment plants we can treat engine room sludge, slops and products that have low flash point. We have always a free capacity of 15.000 m³ in Halmstad and 10.000m³ free capacity in Gothenburg. In the port of Gothenburg vessels up to 280 meters in length and with a max draught of 12,5 meters can be accommodated. In the port of Halmstad, ships up to a maximum length of 215 meters with a max draught of 9,7 meters can be accommodated
Waste becomes a resource
The water from slops and other oily waste is treated in our water treatment plants. After treatment and filtering we can guarantee oil free water. Before the cleaned water is discharged to the recipient however, extensive tests are done to ensure that local environmental demands are met. From the oil that is extracted from the waste an alter-native fuel is made - waste becomes a resource. The typical customer for this alternative fuel is the concrete industry.
